        Medical expenses

        If you or a family member need any medical treatment while on holiday, we’ll help cover the cost of expenses. That includes any costs incurred if a rescue service to the hospital is needed, or repatriation home.

        Trip cancellations

        If your family holiday is cancelled, our travel insurance will cover the cost of non-refundable, pre-booked travel and accommodation expenses. We’ll also cover pre-booked excursions and additional costs if you need to return to the UK early.

        Travel accident

        Travel Accident cover provides for a defined payment if you suffer from a serious injury or death as the result of an accident.

        Personal liability

        This covers injury or illness to another person, or damage to their property, that’s caused by either you or another member of your family who is listed on the policy.

        Loss of important documents

        If you lose any vital documents, like your passport or travel documents, we’ll provide cover for the cost of temporary replacement documents.

          How travel insurance works when a family member is ill

          Our policies cover a wide range of pre-existing medical conditions, including epilepsy, heart conditions and asthma. It’s important that you tell us about any medical conditions when you get a quote, either online or by phone, to make sure you and your family have the right cover in place. If you don’t, claims may be rejected, or payment could be reduced.
